Dining at Elmira means fresh, innovative, and made-from-scratch dishes that are sustainably and locally sourced.
Our all-you-care-to-eat Campus Center Dining Hall offers 10 handcrafted stations for our guests to enjoy! Student favorites and menu staples are available daily to satisfy cravings when they hit, with each station offering rotating features that keep your taste buds dancing. Many items are made to order or customizable, ensuring that there's always something to enjoy regardless of preferences or dietary restrictions!
Named after the year Elmira College was founded, our coffee shop is a hub of campus — a place to hang out for a while or swing by for a quick refuel, featuring an extensive menu of your favorite coffee and tea beverages, as well as some sweet treats and prepared food items. Grab a quick latte before class or sit down and get some work done with an iced coffee and baked treat.
MacKenzie's is our night owl hangout spot, perfect for those late-night cravings or when you need an extra boost to finish that assignment. Located in the Campus Center, you'll find a warm, pub-style atmosphere with fresh, made-to-order burgers, pizzas, and deli items. It's a popular location that hosts many student events you can enjoy throughout the academic year.
We are committed to offering a variety of delicious and filling options for everyone, regardless of unique dietary restrictions. In addition to our new Inspired Eats station featuring menus free of the top nine food allergens, many of our stations offer customization options to adapt your dining experience to your personal needs. All items are labeled with our allergen and dietary lifestyle icons. Please contact us so we can work with you to ensure incredible food experiences.
Partnering with Parkhurst Dining, our FarmSource® program is dedicated to finding and working alongside the finest local growers and producers. By working with local producers, we can enhance the freshness and quality of our dining options without compromising our commitment to food safety while supporting and strengthening the local agricultural community.
Let us do the cooking and dishes. Meal plans offer flexibility, convenience, and peace of mind for both guardian and student. A meal plan takes one more thing off a student's already full plate and allows them to focus on their academics and extracurriculars while having healthy meals and snacks at their fingertips. The meal swipes are there for when students are hungry for a full meal, while the accompanying Flex Dollars provide flexibility when there isn't time for a full meal. Meal swipes are used in the Campus Center Dining Hall, while Flex Dollars are used in MacKenzie’s and The 1855 Room.
Students living on campus are required to take the all-access meal plan unless they receive a medical exemption. Flex Dollars are distributed throughout the academic year: $400 in the Term I, $400 in Term II and $200 in Term III. Unused Flex Dollars are forfeited at the end of the spring term. There are no refunds on the flex dollars.
This plan is best for those who only have a short break between classes and don’t have time to leave campus. The total meal swipes are distributed throughout the academic year: 50 meal swipes for both Term I and Term II, and another 25 meal swipes for Term III. Flex Dollars are distributed throughout the academic year: $200 in Term I, $200 in Term II, and $100 in Term III. Unused Flex Dollars are forfeited at the end of the spring term. There are no refunds on Flex Dollars. The cost per student is $720 for Term I, $720 for Term II, and $375 for Term III.
